# Filter your data

> Using PostMetric filters to analyze your data

Filter your analytics data to focus on what matters most. PostMetric provides powerful filtering options to help you understand your traffic.

## Date range filters

Select a date range to analyze:

* **Today** - View today's data
* **Last 7 days** - View the past week
* **Last 30 days** - View the past month
* **Custom range** - Select any date range
* **All time** - View all historical data

## Source filters

Filter by traffic source:

* **Direct** - Direct visits (no referrer)
* **Search** - Search engine traffic
* **Social** - Social media traffic
* **Referral** - Referral traffic from other websites
* **Email** - Email campaign traffic
* **Paid** - Paid advertising traffic

## Location filters

Filter by geographic location:

* **Country** - Filter by country
* **Region** - Filter by region/state
* **City** - Filter by city

## Device filters

Filter by device type:

* **Desktop** - Desktop computers
* **Mobile** - Mobile devices
* **Tablet** - Tablets

## Browser and OS filters

Filter by:

* **Browser** - Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.
* **Operating System** - Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android

## Path filters

Filter by page path:

* **Specific path** - View data for a specific page
* **Path pattern** - Use patterns to match multiple pages

## Combining filters

You can combine multiple filters to get precise insights:

* Traffic from Google in the US on mobile devices
* Revenue from email campaigns in the last 30 days
* Conversions from social media on desktop

## Exclude filters

Exclude specific data from your analytics:

* **Exclude your IP** - Don't count your own visits
* **Exclude countries** - Exclude specific countries
* **Exclude paths** - Exclude specific pages (e.g., admin pages)
* **Exclude hostnames** - Exclude specific subdomains

## Save filters

Save frequently used filter combinations for quick access.

## Export filtered data

Export your filtered data to CSV for further analysis.
